European Debut Night
It was a special night for one of the seven Rangers supporters from the Phoenix Futures project who attended the Uefa Cup tie between Rangers and Panathinaikos on February 13th. For Craig Smith this was his first ever Rangers game, and to watch them play in Europe made the evening extra special. He said: “This was my first time at Ibrox and I was blown away by the stadium and
the atmosphere in the ground. The result was poor on
the night but we got through on the tie. It was a great experience”.
Thomas Hobbs added: “It
was good to spend quality time with lads from different backgrounds and enjoy the great atmosphere at Ibrox
stadium.” Despite the goalless draw, the lads had a fantastic time. Tony Cassidy said: It was a great night; having been off the rails for a number of years it was great to get back to Ibrox. I watched Rangers years ago and I have always followed them. The atmosphere was terrific."
Many thanks to Raymond Farrelly at Rangers for providing the tickets.
