Hai Le

"I heard about Street League from my probation officer and the tutor for the course I had to do as part of my community service called Think First. They gave me a leaflet about the Goals Project and I was immediately attracted by the football coaching because after leaving college I had aspired to do this and had already got my Level 1 FA Certificate. The fact it was held at Millwall FC was also appealing - I had never been there even though I live just around the corner.

"My life was a joke at the time. I had lost my motivation for coaching after being rejected for a few jobs and all I did was work at my dad's restaurant - a job I hate, and used all my money to go clubbing and take a lot of drugs. I got to a point where clubbing every week was a must, and I was taking drugs almost every day. Things got even worse when I was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis and got 200 hours community service. I was lucky I wasn't sent to prison.

"There's one word that sums up the Goals Project for me - AMAZING. Its one of the best things I ever encountered and was particularly happy with the motivation training and the fitness and football coaching. It made me realise that I need to put in work and effort in to get something out and that good things won't come falling in my lap, and that I need to get out there and push for what I want.

"Directly on the back of the course I'm now coaching at Millwall FC as a casual coach and the assistant coach for the Goals Project. I've also got my Level 2 coaching final assessment coming up and I'm coaching boys teams at Cray Wanderers three days a week. After Level 2 I'm planning to take my B licence and want to go all the way and become a successful coach at the top level.

"Street League are so helpful and they've helped me achieve so much and I would encourage people who were like me to get involved in any way they can."
