About us

Our vision is to transform the lives of disadvantaged men and women in the UK using the power of sport. We achieve this through a structured football and education programme that helps build confidence, improve health, extend social networks, and develop skills towards long-term education, employment and independence.

Our players come from a range of disadvantaged backgrounds including homelessness, drug and alcohol abuse, displacement, unemployment, crime, learning difficulties and mental health. Most players are put in contact with Street League through referral agents such as homeless hostels, job centres, drug rehabilitation projects and refugee teams.

We currently work in London and Glasgow where we regularly work with more than 1000 people in partnership with 60 organisations. In the coming years we also aim to set up new projects in other cities so that more people and communities can benefit from Street League.

Street League is a registered charity set up in 2001. We are funded by a range of national and local organisations including Comic Relief, Sport England and the Football Foundation. Our charity number is 1101313.
