Our Impact

Founded in 2001, Street League delivers football and employability programmes to some of the most disadvantaged young people across the UK. Street League works with 16 - 24 year old NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) groups, offenders and substance users. Through its structured football programmes, Street League builds the confidence, life skills and relevant qualifications necessary for moving young people into sustainable training, further education and employment.
1) Progression into Jobs,
Education & Training -


The productivity loss to the economy in the UK (as a result of youth unemployment) is an estimated £133 million a week.

72% of our Academy participants successfully achieve a progression into long term employment, education or training.

2) Qualifications -

The cost of educational underachievement in the UK is estimated as £22 billion for a generation

98% participants completing our courses achieve a qualification.

3) Reduced Re-offending -

75% of imprisoned youth offenders re-offend within two years.

75% do not re-offend whilst working with Street League.
4) Reduced Substance Use -

There were an estimated 51,582 people with opiate and/or benzodiazepine drug problems in Scotland in 2005.

In 2010 - 54% of Street League participants reduced their substance misuse whilst with Street League.

5) Improved Health & Wellbeing -

Department of Health (2004) found that community-based interventions targeting specific client groups will produce more long-term changes to physical health.

86% reported a significant increase in health and well-being as a result of working with Street League.
