Champions Excell Utd visit Stamford Bridge

While Wednesday 12th March might be a night to forget for many Derby fans, for the players and manager of Excell Utd, it was definitely one for the scrapbook. Having clinched the first division title in the last game of matchday six, the jubilant team went on to receive their trophy on the pitch, druing halftime in Chelsea's demolition of a hapless Derby.

A triumphant Rob Reed, Excell's volunteer team manager, commented, "It was a fantastic night for the guys and Chelsea were brilliant; rolling out the red carpet for us. Derby had nothing to offer and Chelsea strolled to victory."

A huge thanks to Chelsea's Football in the Community Scheme for donating the tickets. In additon, many thanks to Leyton Orient for donating tickets to Leyton Orient v Huddersfield for second division champions Air Football and Mark Howden, manager of The Comets, for donating twenty tickets to Arsenal Ladies v Everton, the league Cup Final.
