Partnership with Scottish Enterprise
Street League and Scottish Enterprise Lanarkshire have embarked on a 3 month pilot partnership to utilise the role of sport in supporting employability as part of the Get Ready for Work programme.
The new venture will see ten training providers build in Street League activity to the core delivery with the aim of exploring the role that a sporting element can play in encouraging participants to sustain training. In the longer-term it is also intended to assess whether the inclusion of sport has an impact on improving transiiton rates to employment.
Niki Spence, Senior Business Executive at Scottish Enterprise, said: "It's great to initiate this thematic partnership. Hopefully there will be a marked improvement in client sustainability on the Get Ready for Work programme, and we look forward to working with Street League."
