Andrew, from East Renfrewshire, joined Street League 6 months after he left school and wasn’t sure of his next step. Andrew, admits he faced barriers when trying to move after school.“What was holding me back was confidence, I didn’t talk to anyone”. He Joined Street League to improve his employability skills and to get help with his lack of motivation and confidence.

After a completing a Street League football programme, Andrew was offered a place in college and received a job opportunity that he got through Street League. When asked what Street League helped him with the most,

He said “Street league helped me the most with confidence. Before I never use to talk, now I’m talking to people at college and work. I talk to people all the time, anywhere”

“Building my communication skills having normal conversations with people, that’s something I couldn’t do before.”

Street League is on a mission to end youth unemployment. We support unemployed 16-25 year old's into jobs or education all over the UK using the power of sport. We offer our young people support with employability skills such as CV writing, interview skill's and training

When asked about his future, Andrew response “Feel more positive about my future”. Andrew now studies full time and works part time on the weekend. He is becoming more active and sociable.
