Kyle was referred to Street League through Didsbury Job Centre Plus. He had been unemployed for over six months and struggling to find any direction or focus in his life. Throughout the Street League Academy programme, Kyle showed great commitment with a near perfect attendance record. He demonstrated good leadership skills, especially during the Community Sports Leadership Award qualification, and from then on he realised that both playing and coaching sport brought out the best in him.

Kyle progressed onto a Level 2 Diploma in Sport and Active Leisure, and on graduating from the Academy he started volunteering on the Street League Academy programme. Kyle played an important role in terms of motivating and passing on his knowledge to other participants.

Kyle then went on to secure an interview for a coaching company who deliver football and multi-sports activities in the USA, and if successful, he hopes to pursue his coaching career overseas.

Speaking about his time with Street League, Kyle said: "Street League has given me the motivation and direction in life to focus on achieving my goals. Before the Academy programme I felt like I was going nowhere in life but now I have more qualifications, experience and confidence.”
