Jamie was referred to Street League from the Edinburgh charity Cyrenian’s, which supports disadvantaged people. Having attended Street Football at Lochend for a few weeks, it was clear that despite a few barriers, Jamie was ready to progress into employment. During one-to-one sessions Jamie showed a great sense of responsibility and natural leadership skills. Jamie’s attendance on the Academy programme was only reduced due to illness and family caring responsibilities. He achieved all three of his qualifications on the Academy, and impressed staff with his coaching abilities. He was one of two young people on the Academy who were selected for interview for Street League's Youth and Community Coach Assistant post. Jamie excelled in his interview and had clearly done his homework, and everyone at Street League in Edinburgh were delighted to welcome him on board. Jamie is currently working alongside Stuart Clark and Stuart Inglis in the South-East Edinburgh team.
