Chief Executive - Matt Stevenson-Dodd 

Matt is a respected social entrepreneur with a background in youth work, employability, enterprise and sport based social impact. He was recently selected by The Guardian as one of the top charity CEO's on social media (#SocialCEOs) and in 2014 was selected as one of the top 5 people to follow on Twitter on Social Isolation and Underemployment.

Matt has led Street League since 2010, changing its direction and driving growth of 30-40% every year for the past six years. Street League now employs 136 full time staff, operates in 14 regions across the UK and serves 36 local communities. The organisation has diversified income streams to the point that over 50% comes from delivering public sector contracts with the remainder coming from ever growing commercial support. Number 10 Downing Street selected Street League to be its first ever official volunteering partner in 2011.

Prior to Street League Matt was Chief Executive of Young Enterprise North West and Founder CEO of the multi-award winning ‘Unique Social Enterprise’ in Newark. In 2016 Matt was appointed to the national Board of St John Ambulance and in 2014 was selected by the RFU to join the 'Try For Change' Legacy Panel of the Rugby World Cup 2015.

All of this is underpinned by a strong academic record which includes an MBA with Distinction from Nottingham University (a top 10 UK Business School) and a scholarship from Harvard Business School where Matt undertook their world-leading Strategic Perspectives In Non-Profit Management Course in 2012.

Managing Director – England - Allan Garratt 

Allan is an experienced leader who has worked in several sectors. These include welfare, training and skills over the past five years and previously in retail. He is used to managing multiple contracts and large teams. Allan has worked successfully on government contracts such as the work programme and skills support in both the West Midlands and the North West regions. He has worked with the DWP, SFA, councils and SMEs.

Allan is committed to social change and supporting others to reach their potential. He is motivated by helping individuals into work, education or training to improve their lives. Allan has recently joined Street League and is excited about the opportunity to strengthen and expand the Street League footprint in England. He is committed to developing the model and passionate about making a difference to more young people.

Allan has a track record of sustained development of his teams, with a strategic and driven approach to team building and business development. He graduated from the University of Keele, Staffordshire with a BA(Hons). He currently lives near Manchester, although originally hails from Cumbria.

Director of Strategy and Impact - Lindsey MacDonald

Lindsey is passionate about positive social change, building the capacity and expertise of the third sector, and helping individuals to achieve their potential. She joined Street League in 2014 as Managing Director of Street League’s new social enterprise that uses physical activity to enable more young people to get into employment, education, and training. Lindsey joined Street League from the Homeless FA, the national homeless football charity, which she co-founded in 2011. Her previous experience was with charities working in international development, homelessness and sport.

Named a Loran Scholar in 2002, Lindsey earned her B.Sc. (Hons) from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada. She completed her doctorate at Brunel University, an ethnographic study examining the (economic and non-economic) capital distribution across sport-for-development initiatives and the benefits derived by participants. Lindsey did her Executive MBA at Cass Business School, with a concentration in strategy and graduating with a Distinction in 2019.

Managing Director, Scotland - Dougie Stevenson 

Dougie Stevenson

After qualifying in Community Education from the University of Edinburgh in 2001 Dougie's main experience lies within the fields of Disability, Homelessness and Drug Alcohol Support. Dougie joined Street League as Service Development Manager for the Glasgow project in December 2004 before taking up the Head of Operations post in April 2006 and Chief Operating Officer in 2010, responsible for all UK operations. Dougie is committed to the development of the Street League model, the expansion of the charity and to the difference Street League can make in young people's lives.

Finance Director - Lesley Caron 

Lesley is a Chartered Accountant and member of the FCCA (fellowship of ACCA) who joined Street League in July 2013. She spent the early part of her career in IT after gaining a BSc in Computer/IT studies while working for Shell UK. She then worked for over 15 years in the commercial service sector in finance roles, specialising in working with SMEs with growth potential. Lesley is relishing the move into the Third Sector and the opportunity to bring her business acumen to bear on an exciting, dynamic charity in her role as Finance Director of Street League.

Commercial Director - Nigel Mansfield 

Nigel started his career as a marketer in the commercial sector, creating and delivering promotional campaigns for household brands like Kit Kat, Coca-Cola, Burger King and Eurostar. Following that, he joined the charitable sector to develop partnership strategies for youth charities like Action for Children and v the youth volunteering organisation, alongside brands like MTV, Nike, Red Bull and the Premier League. Since joining Street League in 2011, Nigel’s role has been to develop funding relationships to expand Street League’s offering to young people in new areas across the UK.

Head of Human Resources - Melanie Davies 

Melanie has been employed at Street League since 2010 progressing from an Executive Assistant/HR Administrator to the Head of Human Resources. Melanie has undertaken an extensive range of administrative and assistant roles throughout her career working predominately in the engineering industry whilst undertaking a Bachelor of Commerce with Specialisation in Human Resource Management. Melanie is CIPD qualified and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD).

Head of Major Giving - Tara Arnold 

Tara joined Street League in January 2014 with eight years experience of fundraising, predominantly from Trusts and the Big Lottery, but also legacy, event, community, statutory and major donor sources. Tara’s role is to secure funds from grant-giving bodies for the running of Street League’s existing Academy programme, as well as expansion into new areas and capacity building roles. Since starting at Street League, Tara has secured nearly £4,000,000.

Tara has a professional background in disability, children and young people, mental health, HIV and adoption and fostering. Tara holds an MSc from Queen Mary University of London in Cultural Geography and a Certificate in Fundraising from the Institute of Fundraising.
