Street League’s Finance Director, Lesley Caron, has been shortlisted for a prestigious award.

Taking place at the Royal Garden Hotel in central London, The Business Finance Awards 2016, as stated on the their website, celebrate the vitally important role that finance plays in UK business and recognises individuals, teams and businesses that have demonstrated success and innovation in the last 12 the months.

Lesley, who joined the sports for employment charity in July 2013, has been nominated for the UK FD of the Year in the Public and Voluntary Sector Shortlist. 

Lesley, who works out of Street League’s Manchester office, is a Chartered Accountant and member of the FCCA (fellowship of ACCA). She spent the early part of her career in IT after gaining a BSc in Computer/IT studies while working for Shell UK. She then worked for over 15 years in the commercial service sector in finance roles, specialising in working with SMEs with growth potential. 

Delighted at the prospect of winning such an esteemed award, Lesley said: "At Street League it is our aim to be the most transparent and accountable charity when it comes to reporting our social impact and finances, and so we're delighted to be shortlisted for the Business Finance Awards 2016.”
