Darren, 19, from Glasgow, joined Street League's Football Academy wanting some direction and advice regarding his job prospects after finding it hard to get into work. A keen football fan, Darren wanted to work within the game and was put on a work placement as an U14s football coach for Ultimate Soccer, a role he now enjoys full-time after impressing staff.

Darren on Street League: "When I left school there's all these options but noone to tell me what to do or ask what I wanted to do. When I came to see Street League they basically asked me what I wanted to do and made sure that they were going to put me into a post where I wanted to work. I think it helps with everything; your personal life, communication and just giving you advice when you need it. Before Street League I'd just left school and was around the house doing nothing, but now I've got a job, I'm just always on my feet and doing stuff."

Darren continued: "The best thing about Street League is the football part of it, and when you're learning all these social skills and you don't even realise it just because you're playing a normal game of football. Street League is one of the best opportunities that I've ever had. If it wasn't for Street League I don't think I'd be where I am today."
