Street League is delighted to be working with DHL, supporting unemployed young people across the UK. Working with the DHL Foundation, we are supporting young people into work experience in the logistics sector and gaining a real insight into life at the most international company in the world.

Robert has been an inspiration to the staff by demonstrating that life is about making the most of the opportunities that life has to offer. These are sometimes harder to see when the challenges that many young people have faced in their lives cloud their ability to see clearly that there is always another way forward. This positivity is something that Robert has shown us all as he has launched himself into the DHL Team and ways of working with a passion and enthusiasm that has been truly energising for the rest of the GLA DHL Team.
Richard Lloyd – DHL Express Service centre manager

In the first half of 2018, Street League and DHL enabled 18 young people to enter DHL service centres for 4 weeks of work experience, culminating in 12 young people getting jobs in DHL across the UK. Working across London, Birmingham and Glasgow, DHL has opened up their workplaces, given their skills, and supported young people to progress into work experience and then jobs.

Through 'world of work' days and skills-based volunteering, DHL staff have had the chance to work with Street League participants, offering their valuable experience and helping to prepare them for their work experience placements and potential job opportunities in the future.

Street League and DHL will continue to offer work placements throughout the UK, helping more young people into work and setting them up the next stage in their life.
