OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NEW BALANCE FOUNDATION
Street League and The New Balance Foundation have joined forces in 2023 to support over 100 unemployed young people across Manchester and Liverpool. Over the next year, this project will support 140 young people increasing their confidence, gaining essential skills for work and improving their overall physical and mental health through daily sports.
Established in 1981, The New Balance Foundation employs a holistic giving strategy focused on providing global support to organisational programming centred around positive youth development and a commitment to help reverse the trajectory of childhood obesity. The Foundation champions active lifestyles and healthy communities by funding over 75 NGOs in the US, Canada, UK and Europe. To date, the Foundation has gifted more than $140m in its work towards championing the future success of today’s youth. Aligned with New Balance Athletics brand purpose of empowering people through sport and craftsmanship to create positive change in communities worldwide, The New Balance Foundation expanded its work internationally in 2012.
Street League is excited to join The New Balance Foundation’s portfolio of UK-based partners, with funding aimed at increasing the capacity of Street League’s programmes across the North West.
Working collaboratively with community partners such as Street League, New Balance Foundation is committed to creating an impact where all young people lead a healthy, active and enriching life and are on a path towards lifelong health and success.
