 FAQs

  • It’s completely FREE and won’t affect your benefits.

We’ll even cover your qualification costs, travel expenses, and offer you free sportswear.

More importantly, you'll learn the skills to move into a full-time paid job, apprenticeship, training or further education which means you can take control of your own future with the finances and freedom that comes with earning your own salary.

  • It really depends on you and your situation. We tailor each young person's support to fit with your life and schedule.

Most of our programmes run four days a week, with fun group activities and time for sport and fitness. You'll get time with a Street League Progressions Coordinator to set your goals and aspirations, which will help us build a plan for YOU to move into work, an apprenticeship, education or training. If you have other commitments - like being a carer or parent - then we can offer more focused job search support and help you quickly move into a job. Just let us know how we can best support you and we’ll always do our best.

  • We work with employers in all different sectors. We’ve supported young people into jobs in care, hospitality, construction, sport, childcare, retail, armed forces, and warehousing. There are no sectors we don't work with - we support each young person on their individual journey.

  • Click the join button below and you will be taken to our online form. Once you’ve completed this, someone in your local team will be in touch with you within a week to discuss next steps and answer any questions you might have.

HEAR WHAT PAST PARTICIPANTS HAVE TO SAY

“I can honestly say that without the apprenticeship scheme with Street League, I would not have been able to realise my potential. It was so good just to have a third party there to egg you on to go for it. It allows you to see your weaknesses and strengths and really work on them to make yourself an all-rounded better team member.”

Joining Street League has kept me busy which helped me stay out of trouble and allowed me to better myself. When I started Street League, I never saw myself working a full-time job and I am proud to say that I now have a full time job as a Warehouse Operative.

Mental health showed up in many different ways, everything became a task, going days without drinking, eating, showering and sleeping. Not talking to anyone for weeks at a time and isolating myself from my friends and family. Since I started Street League I have been doing better, after getting put on the right medication and being given the right support. Street League gave me some purpose and a reason to get up most mornings, and gave me something to work towards.
