what is a female academy?
A free 10-week* empowerment and employability programme to equip young women and non-binary people with the tools they need to thrive and move into sustainable employment
Who can join?
Females and non-binary people aged 18-30* who have the right to work and live in the UK, are able to travel to the hub for a 10-week programme, which is delivered from Monday to Thursday 10am-2.30pm*
What’s included?
Daily active sessions led by our sports coach (multisports sessions such as football, basketball, badminton, table tennis, interactive games and activites)
Employability sessions lead by our coaches (CV, cover letter writing, mock interviews, college/apprenticeship/job applications, personal statements)
Skills and personal development sessions led by our coaches (rights awareness, digital and financial literacy, money management, travel breakdowns, motivation workshops, signposting for mental health and financial support, confidence building sessions)
Opportunities to meet with potential employers, inspirational guest speakers attend world of-work day visits with our corporate partners

What you get
External facilitators will deliver workshops on self-defence, consent, sexual health, photography, online profiles and headshots
Wellbeing pack including a £20 voucher, Street League water bottle, notepad and a wellbeing journal and:
