Local Young People Gain Hands-On Experience with Street League and Car Valeting Glasgow

Street League is proud to highlight a unique partnership with local business Car Valeting Glasgow.

As part of our ongoing academy programme, they met at Garscube Sports Centre, where James from Car Valeting Glasgow led a hands-on training session in professional car valeting.

“Working with Street League has been one of the most rewarding and inspiring experiences for both myself and my business,” said James. “I believe it’s important to work in partnership with organisations like Street League to provide young people with life-changing work experience opportunities. This impact is evident in the positive feedback and case studies from the countless young people who have taken part in our training programmes across Scotland.

James added, “We’ve had the privilege of delivering two training sessions, one with the Glasgow group and another with the East Dunbartonshire group, and what an incredible journey it’s been. To witness these young people engaging so wholeheartedly, developing new skills, and growing in confidence has been nothing short of powerful. Hearing their feedback about how these opportunities are helping them believe in themselves and sparking hope for a brighter future reminds us why this work is so vital.”

Street League’s academy, funded by East Dunbartonshire Council, offers young people meaningful work experience that builds confidence, unlocks potential, and prepares them for employment life. The programme also highlights the dedication of Street League’s operations staff, whose commitment to empowering young people is at the heart of the charity’s success.
