Street League Harness AI with Dataiku

As a UK wide organisation, working with thousands of young unemployed people each year, Street League is in a privileged position to gather and compile data on the youth unemployment landscape, providing a valuable source of information. To ensure our data is interrogated to its full extent, Street League began working with Dataiku, harnessing the power of AI technology. This partnership has seen our in-house Data Scientist create a dynamic dashboard that generates a wealth of information, used to drive our service programmes and delivery.

Last week Street League’s Head of Compliance, Systems & Data, Lauren Archdeacon and Principal Data Scientist, Ivona Voroneckaja, attended the Dataiku Summit in London, where Ivona took to the stage to talk about how Street League have utilised Dataiku tools to power the exciting new dashboard.  The summit also shared practical insights from experts driving real world AI and data success stories, from practical strategies to deploying high impact AI agents and eliminating inefficiencies.

Lauren shared her takeaways after the event, sharing what these new technologies would mean for Street League and others. “Dataiku’s new developments will make a huge difference to how we mine for data in the organisation.  We will have the ability to ask granular questions that get into the heart of our data stack, which we haven’t previously been able to do.”

Lauren went on, “This first stage merely scratches the surface of what could be possible for us as an organisation and demonstrates how we will be better placed to interrogate our data as the developments in technology progress and become available to us. This is crucial for Street League moving forward, ensuring we will be able to plan and deliver future services, based on outcomes, geographic areas and sociodemographic needs.”

Lauren concluded, “It was great to connect with other organisations who also use this technology, so we can start sharing information and learning from each other, which can only be a positive move for our sector.”

Charlotte Lambert, Sustainability & Social Impact Manager, Dataiku said, “Through our AI-for-Good programme, we’re proud to partner with Street League who use Dataiku to turn insights into actions, while supporting young people into employment. Seeing them take to the stage at the Summit in London was a powerful reminder of how data can tackle social challenges and create lasting impacts in our communities.”
